Home of the “One of a Kind” Murphy Door Vocal Booth

Idea

All great things start off as an idea. This idea started in a garage and was the first step in making a one of a kind vocal booth. We started with a 4’x4’ base.

Walls

Every good vocal booth needs walls. We built the frames to be to be 8.5’ tall and decided to put a window in one side.

Door

To be one of a kind, we decided to do a Murphy Bookshelf door for the entrance. We definitely had never done this before.

Movin’ On Up

Transporting the modular walls, floor and ceiling was definitely not easy. But the end results were totally worth it.

I know the pieces fit

Once inside the new office space, we started putting it all together. We filled the insides of the walls with rockwool insulation. For the ceiling we decided on smart lights so we could control the vibe in the booth.

Come Together

Finally we attached the front wall, which housed the Murphy door. Everything was coming together nicely.

Foam Party

The next step in the process was foaming out the inside of the booth. We definitely got goofy on spray glue.

Boba Fett

Once the foam was done, we added a monitor and some decorations inside the booth.

Ready For Tracking

What we ended up with is a unique, intimate space that sounds as good as it looks.
